Haverigg
A picturesque seaside fishing village on the
west coast of the Lake District in Cumbria.
12 miles from Eskmeals House, Haverigg is a hidden gem on the coast of the Western Lake District.
Haverigg offers an extensive and peaceful ‘Blue Flag’ beach, with widespread sand dunes and a restored lighthouse.
It is within easy reach of the Hodbarrow RSPB Nature Reserve.
Haverigg has it’s own Inshore Rescue Team, which is funded entirely by donations from the public, as well as local businesses.
There are also several pubs, including the Harbour Hotel on the water’s front, as well as a general convenience store, Fish & Chip shop and The Beach Cafe, serving hot and cold refreshments, as well as hot and cold food and ice creams.
